Here's the plan for my rates. Unless you specify
otherwise, I simply get the photos developed at Wal-Mart. I prefer to use
400 or 800 Kodak film and I use a simple manual SLR camera (I may use my digital
too, if I can ever find the thing!). You pay for the film and developing, plus
a small fee for my other expenses. You keep the one set of photos, plus the film
(so that you can make as many copies and enlargements as you want) and I get
one copy for my records and to possibly show other customers. Also I can post
the edited digital images online at either Wal-Mart.com or Shutterfly.com where
you can cheaply and easily order more digital prints online. For a small fee
(a dollar or two) I can edit and burn all of your images to CD, complete with a
nice label. Also if you want something with more of a fine arts feel, I can do
grey paper charcoal drawings of your favorite photo. (see here for examples). The following is my price list. |

Cost List for 4 Rolls of film and CD Film: $9.38 Developing: $25.92 Sub Total w/tax: $39.21 Artist Fee: $20.00 CD w/Digital Adjustments: $2.00 Total: $61.21 Other Prices Cost for one roll of film: $2.35 Cost for developing one roll: $8.48-$9.46 Grey Paper Drawing: $15.00 |
